SENIOR SYSTEMS HARDWARE ENGINEER

FB iMonitoring Inc. located in Roanoke, VA, seeks to hire a Sr. Systems Hardware Engineer.  Our market is the oil & gas industry and the applications include wellhead monitoring, electronic gas flow measurement, tank level, compression, and chemical injection.

 

Job Requirements:

*  B.S. in Electrical Engineering

*  10+ years experience in related field with demonstrated success

*  5+ years experience in direct industrial automation

*  Programming C, C++

*  Willingness to travel up to 25%

Experience Should Include:

*  System / Board Level Integrated Circuit Design

*  Micro-processor based Industrial Controls

*  Analog & Digital Circuit Design

*  Electronic sensors / measurement of pressure, temperature, flow, level, etc.

*  Power Systems Design with specific experience in low-power battery & solar applications

*  RF 900 mhz & 2.4 ghz FHSS and Cellular GSM/GPRS & CDMA

*  Equipment Certifications including UL, cUL, CSA, FCC

*  Schematic Review

*  Component Selection including RoHS

*  Harsh Environmental Design (including temperatures from 120F to -40F, corrosive gas & liquids, vibration, etc.

*  New Product Introduction process improvement experience a plus - Six Sigma, ISO, etc.

*  Prefer project and personnel management experience

Job Description:

*  Design industrial electronic monitoring, measurement, control and communication devices for low-power wireless application.

*  Translate market and product requirements into systems level designs

*  Manage projects to achieve functionality & cost targets

*  Analyze and improve existing designs for sustainability

*  Research new technologies to integrate into product portfolio

*  Work with production to ensure Design for Manufacturability
