Mfg Environment - Specific process engineering support for High Pressure laminate and paper treating / coating processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Process control and improvements utilizing advanced manufacturing methodologies

Understanding and translating Customer requirements into product specifications and process control for the manufacture of products.
Lean Manufacturing and Waste Elimination
Establishing and maintaining control of the manufacturing processes and materials specifications to maximize production efficiencies at lowest-possible costs.

*Training
Provide training for the operators in process control, and equipment operation, both theoretical and practical.

*Process Troubleshooting
Identify & Remedy Process failures with application of root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Process Cost Reductions
Identify and Implement Manufacturing Process Cost Reductions.

*Technical

Manufacturing
Environment - Paper converting, paper coating and treating, and related resin systems.

In-depth knowledge of continuous manufacturing processes advanced manufacturing techniques and process controls.

*Manufacturing Process Control
Theoretical and application-oriented expertise in Statistical Process Control methods.
Experimental design and analysis
Expertise in design, implementation and continuous maintenance of applicable manufacturing process controls to maintain manufacturing processes within defined specifications

Product and Process
*Melamine resin / paper coating processes.
Panel / press production systems

Working knowledge of process capability analysis.
Expertise in process control and measurement related to manufacturing process.

*Process Development
Capable of new process design and implementation.
Capable of driving suppliers to participate in developing new materials and properties

*Project Management

Demonstrates effective skill in planning, monitoring and accomplishing goals of specific project requirements.
Lean Manufacturing concepts
Training & Proficiency in Six Sigma DMAIC problem solving methodology & tools, certified Green Belt, Black Belt preferred
Analytical, data driven and comfortable with statistical analysis
Proficient with Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Project Management
Understanding of manufacturing finance and application of ROI analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
