Sr. Process Engineer - OxyChem

• The process engineer is responsible for process design for capital projects within OxyChem. This position is responsible for ensuring that capital, operating, and engineering costs are optimized on assigned projects, that all work is completed as scheduled, and meets all environmental, health, safety, and code requirements. The process engineer must have a high level of technical skills and shall be capable of handling one or more complex assignments with a direct impact of up to $10,000,000 value.
• Executing approved projects including providing technical direction and assistance, coordinating with project and program managers, and supervising the work of engineering consultants and contractors.
• Completing studies and various requests for engineering assistance such as providing the process descriptions, scope of work, equipment specifications, and reviewing cost estimates.
• Assuring Corporate policies, procedures, and standards are followed by himself and by contractors working for him.
• Maintaining technical expertise in codes, procedures, selection and application of equipment, and process technology through individual effort and ongoing training.

• Graduate engineer with BS chemical engineering degree.
• Applicable process engineering experience.
• Experience working with consulting engineers.
• Capable of handling multiple assignments.
