Supply Chain Director

Supply Chain Director will have overall accountability for theManufacturing Supply Chain function and will be responsible fordeveloping a world-class outsourced manufacturing model.

Job Responsibilities

Supply Chain Director will develop and run the required end-to-endproduct supply chain capabilities in alignment with cost, customerquality/reliability and other key company deliverables;This position will work closely with the management team andtargeted supply chain partners to optimize the firm's outsourcedmanufacturing model, including effective supply chain liability controlmechanisms;Recommends purchasing objectives and ensures understanding ofapproved objectives by subordinates. Directs the activities toaccomplish company objectives;Develops and recommends for approval policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities;Plans and directs a purchasing program to meet corporate requirements;Negotiates with suppliers as necessary;Continually evaluate products, services and vendors to determine improvement or replacement;Investigates and establishes new corporate programs;Makes appropriate recommendations designed to reduce costs and improve process. Leverages purchasing power;Develops vendor scorecard process and related metrics to assess andmanage supplier/vendor performance. Reviews with vendors and managementquarterly; andCoordinates purchasing activities with Finance, Field Applications, Operations and Logistics.

Skill Requirements

The Director Supply Chain Candidate must have substantial experienceutilizing a worldwide-outsourced contract manufacturing model, withclearly demonstrated leadership, a track record of successful delivery,strong teamwork orientation, and excellent communication skills.Strong background in all aspects of supply chain management is required;In-depth experience in material planning and procurement; inventorycontrol and management; production planning; setting productionrequirements and managing execution; material movement; and servicelevel negotiations;The Director of Supply Chain must be results-oriented with a strong performance, cost management and bottom-line orientation;Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets goals;Experience with ERP systems and processes (forecasting, planning, supply chain metrics); andAPICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) and other industry certifications desired.E Ink offers a competitive salary, including stock options, outstandingbenefits package and the professional advantages of joining asuccessful, high profile startup company.
