Operations – Technical Business Analyst

Job Description: Technical Business Analyst with the following responsibilities: dB/Server Administration oversight of multiple W2k3 servers. Crystal report development on a Progress dB platform. Allen-Bradley PLC programming utilizing the Rockwell RSViewSE, FTViewSE (CPR9) programming environment in an industrial chemical blending setting.




Major Duties and Functions Include:
Ideal candidate will be responsible for server administration as well as developing programs and reports for two separate environments. The first environment will be an ERP system known as Chempax running on multiple IBM dB and application servers under Windows 2003 Server OS utilizing Crystal Reports. The second environment will be an industrial plant Distributed Control System (DCS) running under redundant Dell Windows 2003 Servers with Dell and ExPanion client computers throughout the plant.

 

Day to Day duties:

1) Research and install patches for the Rockwell and Chempax Software

2) Research and install service packs for the W2k3 operating systems

3) Review computer event logs to view the historical activities.

4) Delete temp files and perform general housekeeping on the computer hard drives

5) Observe control network communications and look for errors

6) Review Operator Log for programming issues

7) Provide a monthly activity report of findings

8) Develop or modify Crystal reports on an as needed basis for the Chempax ERP environment.

9) Develop or modify HMI applications on an as needed basis for the Chemical blending DCS environment.


What You Need to Succeed:

2-3 yrs exp with Crystal Development skills

2-3 yrs exp as a PLC/HMI programmer utilizing RSViewSE and Application and ControlLogix PLC’s.
2-3 yrs exp with Access and Excel
2-3 yrs exp supporting a financial Reporting department
End user support or Training
