Technical Service Specialist - Hydroprocessing Catalysts - Latin America

 

 

Description:

Albemarle Catalysts Co LP is currently seeking a Technical Service Specialist - HPC, to work in technical support for our rapidly growing hydroprocessing catalysts business in Latin America. This position will be located in Clear Lake City, a suburb of Houston, Texas.

 

Responsibilities include:

· Prepare performance and yield projections to gain new business

· Generate, improve and maintain technical service tools, models, reference lists, presentations, catalyst comparisons

· Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to petroleum refining customers; analysis and optimization of catalysts, technical reports and product specifications

· Assist global partners in achieving technical goals for business

· Remain current on technical developments in market segments

· Latin America and U.S. travel - 25% to 40% expected

 

Requirements

· BS Chemical Engineering - - MS Chemical Engineering advantageous

· Minimum of 5 years of Hydroprocessing experience in operations, technical support and catalyst evaluation

· Extensive knowledge of Latin American business culture

· Fluent in Spanish

· Well developed analytical skills with particular focus on process and kinetic modeling

· Technical familiarity with Hydroprocessing flow schemes and technologies required

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
