Terminal Operator

The Terminal Operator performs work necessary for the safe and efficient operation of a terminal station/delivery facility, including accurate custody transfer of crude oil receipts/deliveries. This position routinely interfaces with shipper representatives, schedulers, dispatchers, pipeline controllers and control center supervisors on deliveries and pumping schedules. Responsible for tracking, documenting, and assuring safe movement of crude oil throughout respective system. Assists in the construction, repair, and maintenance of pipeline facilities and appurtenances. May be assigned to work with the maintenance crew when needed or assist technicians or other personnel performing pipeline related duties. This position relieves other terminal operators, as necessary and assists technicians.



High School graduate, or equivalent. Experience using/operating the following tools/equipment: small hand tools, power tools and other pipeline equipment; small portable pumps, generators, and other similar equipment; tractor for moving, scraper operations, loading/unloading material. Knowledgeable in pump station operations. Familiarity with various pipes, valves, fittings, gaskets and other material used in pipeline operations. Must be computer literate and able to understand and operate electronic equipment installed at facilities to monitor, operate, and control station and facility equipment. Must be able to read and use maps, diagrams, and station drawings.
