PwC people have access to unparalleled knowledge, training, and technical resources around the world.Our Advisory Practice is seeking a Managing Director in Program Effectiveness to deliver quality consulting services to our Aerospace and Defense (A&D) clients. In this position, you will be responsible for leading performance and value chain improvement and other consulting projects at key Aerospace and Defense clients, as well as selling work into the target client base. We require a strong management individual whose advisory experience includes all facets of the value chain from initial research & development, through design, engineering feasibility studies, manufacturing and quality assurance, to delivery in the A&D area. To survive in today's market, A&D companies must be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver programs on time and on budget, and per performance/quality requirements. We are looking for a strong leader who can work with our clients to avoid, on the downside, program terminations, fines, penalties and potential debarment from government contracts and who on the upside can advise our clients in ways they can have tangible and real competitive advantage and excel in program delivery.Communication skills are critical, including the ability to organize and present thoughts clearly and concisely (oral and written) into well constructed, easy to understand and meaningful reports, proposals, presentations and other communications.You should be self-motivated, energetic, confident, thoughtful and respectful. You should be capable of independent work efforts, as well as leading and working effectively within PwC and client teams. Mentoring and development of staff team is required.Demonstrated success in managing and penetrating key accounts, as well as establishing and growing new account relationships is also required. You must possess and utilize strong business development skills to identify opportunities, develop proposals and close and deliver engagements in the continuing effort to grow and develop the practice. You also should have a deep knowledge of leading practices in the A&D industry and current work demonstrating strong value add and benefits delivery to clients. You should be able to lead PwC and client teams in medium- and large-scale consulting engagements to assist clients in implementing their business strategies. You must be able to develop a business vision and lead implementation efforts.
