Our Client, a successful Refiner, is seeking an experienced Turnaround General Manager to be responsible for the Turnaround activities of our Client’s sites and developing new approaches to this critical process.  The qualified candidates will be responsible for the following components of the function for the company:

 

Responsibilities:

·  Lead a team of 9 technical professionals to design a new T/A methodology that changes the competitive advantage within the industry.

·  Incorporate current best practices.

·  Document the practices and processes developed and translate into standards, as appropriate, once validated though testing.

·  Gain stakeholder support for new concepts and processes.

 

Key Responsibilities will include: Implementation of the newly designed T/A methodology Sustained execution of turnarounds at our Client’s sites.

·  Determine turnaround schedule and timing.

·  T/A teams organization design, resource planning, training

·  T/A scope definition interfacing with senior leadership to gain buy-in

·  Contracting and Procurement interface.

·  Direct responsibility for ensuring readiness reviews are conducted and issues

  addressed, managing executive reviews for T/As.

·  Contractor Partnerships and Strategy

·  Ensure post T/A learnings and documentation take place and are utilized by other T/A teams.

 

Requirements:



The Candidate must me a senior leader within a Refining or large Chemical organization with at least 15 years of technical experience, and was  responsible for the Turnaround function over multiple sites during their career.



 

Other Requirements:

The Candidate must be a US Citizen or have a US Green Card. He or She will have held several leadership roles such as Production or Capacity Assurance Manager, Operations Manager, and Plant Manager in a large Refinery or Chemical Plant as an employee.  The Candidate must have a Chemical Engineering Degree,
