Vice President of Purchasing/Inventory Management to relocate to the Southern Florida area

The position will be located at our Corporate Head Quarters located in Boca Raton, Florida.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Position is responsible for price negotiations and overall supplier selection both domestically and international (Far East), their performance, as well as, product availability throughout the distribution network. Individual must have experience with resin and chemical purchasing and apply procurement best practices in terms of acquiring materials, logistics, equipment and sourcing strategies as well as strategies and practices related to better cost and quality of goods and services that are in alignment with the company’s business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead negotiation efforts on purchase agreements and vendor contracts with a bias for achievement of quality, delivery, cost containment and process improvement. Manage and support corporate oversight for purchases, across multiple expense categories and creates strategic vision for the company as well as driving purchasing synergies to achieve cost savings across company product lines. Develop and maintain systematic, analytical and results-based method for monitoring supplier’s performance and communicate these results to the suppliers and end users. Provide timely and actionable information for corrective actions to be taken where necessary to both the supplier and end users. Drive standardization of processes and procedures, transaction methods with suppliers, supplier selection processes / ongoing supplier management, data collection, negotiation, performance improvement, cost reduction and communication strategies. Participate in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches and field requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:

Education: Bachelors or graduate degree required in Management, operations, logistics, finance, business or accounting Experience: 10+ years of broad based relevant professional experience in purchasing and supply chain management. Certificates: Certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professionals (CPP,) Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM,) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred, but not required.
