KIK NEW JERSEY located in Carlstadt, procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of liquid household cleaning products.

We are searching for an experienced, hands-on WAREHOUSE MANAGER to realign and streamline existing warehouse procedures for shipping and receiving raw materials, movement and transportation of in house manufactured/packaged product  in a medium-sized plant environment.It is for this reason - we require a production/manufacturing warehouse background. Experience managing distribution warehouse operations will not meet all of our requirements.

Responsibilities in this role will include directing and controlling plant warehouse activities to ensure the efficiency and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw materials and finished goods inventories. This individual will also be responsible for planning and scheduling department functions to ensure the prompt delivery and accurate quantity of materials ordered.

ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESSProvides supervisory direction for the warehouse personnel and manages all aspects of personnel performance, staffing, training and discipline within the department Coordinates all inbound, outbound and interplant shipments Selects/routes orders to optimize productivity and minimize transportation expense while meeting customer or distribution center delivery requirements Manages accurate inventories to meet customer demands by ensuring all warehoused related entries are entered into the system Progressively pursues on time shipment Establishes and maintains key customer service level measurements including loading times by customer, activity profiles by department, carrier performance issues including appointment variance Maintains knowledge of and compliance with applicable government regulations. Implements and trains proper safety & shipping procedures and guidelines.  Ensures compliance of plant GMPs, safety and all other published policies, procedures, rules and regulations Implements effective procedures to reduce and monitor material usage for all manufacturing orders Conduct and monitor cycle count inventories: manage daily cycle counts, count all locations on a 30-day basis and maintain documentation for cycle counts and physical adjustments Manage month-end inventory closeouts. Ensure month-end balances are accurate and manage cut-off timing Manage scrap and obsolete material destruction

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSMUST POSSESS at least 5 or more years hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility warehouse Demonstrated experience in plant warehousing College degree or higher, will consider equivalent combination of experience and education. ERP system knowledge and experience Proficiency in MS Office Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook Proactive leader with a roll up your sleeves attitude that will make things happen!
