We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual for the position of Strategic Sourcing Manager . Reporting to the VP Procurement this position is responsible for Total spend $300M chemical commodity buy, Benzene, Ethylene, Propylene derivatives. Shipments in bulk rail cars and trucks; Main deliverables: contract management for existing contracts and negotiation of new agreements. Ensure supply continuity and price forecast rolling 12 months on key materials, productivity gains and project management; Strategic sourcing on identified materials; Purchase to Pay process, with timely price updates on SAP; Participation in SAP upgrade version 6.0.

· Define portfolio strategic sourcing strategies for Strategic Direct raw materials, resale and suppliers for specific area of responsibility. 

· Lead global procurement/business teams to achieve material cost reduction for SBU purchases. 

· Collaborate w/ other Procurement associates and keep up-to-date on “all spend” related to the particular SBU (s). 

· Act as overall Procurement Spokesperson for SBU leadership teams. 

· Execution through effective negotiations & development of bilateral contracts. 

· Guide tactical support in Development & implementation of Strategic Sourcing strategies. 

· Manage & develop supplier expectations through the use of Supplier Performance Scorecards and appropriate conditioning sessions. 

· Monitor contract compliance and optimize contractual obligations 

· Manage supply & price risk. 

· Ensure compliance to Safety, Responsible Care, SOX, ethics & other policies & procedures. 

· Set up and maintain outline or Blanket agreements on Strategic Materials. 

· Manage spend portfolio per Operating Plan. 

· Provide timely & accurate monthly forecast. 

· Provide market Intelligence to key stakeholders. 

· Seek out & evaluate “make vs Buy” opportunities. 

· Actively participate in Business/Functional Leadership Teams representing all Procurement. 




Qualifications include: 




· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, SOIP or Procurement. 

· Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing or commercial function with proven track record in delivering year over year opportunities. 

· Driving change through organizations. 

· Outstanding cross-functional leadership skills. 

· Willingness to constructively dissent and challenge senior management. 

· Ability to get buy-in and commitment from internal/external stakeholders. 

· World class supplier relationship skills.  

· Strategic ability to develop high-impact sourcing strategies.
