ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES/CHARGEBACK ANAYLST

Locally based fashion apparel company has an immediate need for an Accounts Receivables / Chargeback Analyst who has experience dealing with major Department Store Chains.  This Senior Accounts Receivables / Chargeback Analyst will join our well managed Credit and Collections Department.

 

As an Accounts Receivables/Chargeback Analyst, you will be counted upon to ensure that payments from our major department store customers are delivered in a timely and accurate fashion.  You will need to utilize your strong business instincts and communication skills, as this position requires extensive communication with important customers, our internal sales force, top level financial managers, and various other departments.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to: Prepares reconciliation of charge backs to major department stores (e.g. Federated, Bloomingdales, etc) Analyzes and verifies the validity of all charge backs and collects discrepancies Issues credit memos as appropriate Handles collection processing on past due invoices Verifies and posts accounts receivable transactions to journals, ledgers and other accounting records Sorts and files documents after posting Submits orders to factor and following up on approval, declines and holds Maintenance of factor accounts i.e. line of credit, address changes Factor assignments Sets up new accounts Prepares bank deposits for 3 divisions Updates spreadsheet with daily bank deposit Follows established procedures for the dept Other assignments as needed by management

 

The majority of work will be performed in a fast paced, project oriented environment where the ability to work independently with an emphasis on being able to reach target deliverables without direct supervision is key.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ARE: Minimum of 1 year of chargeback experience dealing with major department stores Minimum of 1 year of Accounts Receivable experience in a retail environment Prior experience in high volume department required Computer proficiency required in MS Office Suite Strong data entry skills are essential Experience with Pacific Apparel a huge plus, but we will train you if you are otherwise qualified Requires understanding of bookkeeping procedures Ability to learn and adapt in a fast paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Acute attention to detail and organizational skills Commitment to excellence and high standards
