Cost Accountant

Overview:

Mid-sized wholesale design group is looking to add a Cost Accountant to the Financial Team.  Our flat organization will provide a unique opportunity to work directly with the Manager of Accounting and Chief Financial Officer as well as provide visibility company-wide.

 

Job Summary:

Cost Accountant will work on the financial team reporting into a Manager of Accounting under the Chief Financial Officer.  Responsibilities include developing overhead rates and performing inventory variances analysis as well as forecasting and budgeting.   

 

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required 2 year minimum experience as a Cost Accountant Experience in a manufacturing environment required: apparel industry preferred Must be hands-on, strong cost person and have a good overall accounting ability in General Ledger, financial statements, and inventory systems. Must have cost-accounting skills Must be extremely detail oriented Must have sense of urgency and must work around deadlines effectively Must have good interpersonal skills
