Customization Artist

SUMMARYCreates and supplies artwork for use in screen printing, embroidery, and tackle twill operations that reflect current trends in active wear and an awareness of Eastbay markets’ preferences.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.ARTWORKCreates and supplies artwork for use in screen printing, embroidery, and tackle twill operations in a timely and professional manner.Responsible for confirming artwork and making adjustments as necessary.Creates vectored artwork for screen printing operations.Outputs screen printing artwork onto film and verifies proper alignment.Creates stitch files for embroidery and tackle twill operations and provides proper files for production.Digitizes custom embroidery logos in a timely manner.Generates freehand drawings for orders as needed.Proofs outputted artwork from artists before going into production.Uploads and archives all artwork generated in accordance with Company guidelines.Provides timely order updates to assure an uninterrupted flow of production.Assists in production, as needed, assuring quality control and proper design and artwork are used.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent ability to draw freehand or on the computer as well as a strong sense of typography. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and digitizing programs. Functional in Excel.
