Our Designers are responsible for designing and creating innovative, commercially viable product that delivers value and style for the assigned consumer segment & brand, as well as supporting the development, evolution and communication of a brand look that supports and deepens the brand value and identity. The position contributes to the development of seasonal design platforms & concepts, and identifies consumer relevant product opportunities through market research. Additional responsibilities include creating fit, fabric, finish, sundries and trim developments; designing product to achieve or exceed targets for the seasonal calendar, assortment plan and source location requirements; and sustaining effective partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development & Sourcing to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goals. 

 

Requirements include a Design degree with a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience as a designer, responsible and accountable for all facets of design and development (successful work experience may be substituted for degree). The right candidate will have demonstrated success in creating commercially viable and profitable product designs; strong working knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, textiles, finishing techniques and processes; and strong written and verbal communication skills. PC/MAC fluency with design related programs is also required. Vertical or specialty experience would be ideal.  We are looking for a team oriented individual with the ability to work with diverse partners in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
