 Position Summary

 

A well-established consumer products company is seeking a talented, dependable and motivated Director of Sales to join our team.  We are seeking a sales manager with passion and spirit enabling one to perform with a sense of urgency while having fun in an entrepreneurial environment.

 

The selected individual will create and establish sales strategies and business plans to maximize revenues and profits. He or she will also develop customer sales presentations that help in the achievement of overall sales by addressing pricing, merchandising, distribution, promotions, and logistics.  Background Requirements

 

To qualify for this position, candidate MUST have:7-10 years’ experience in sales and sales management in consumer packaged goods industry, preferably general merchandise or HBC. Experience in the Sewing Industry is a strong plus.Experience with major retailers in Mass, Dollar, Craft and Hobby, Office, DIY or drug/grocery channels.Design, recommend, and implement sales and marketing strategies that align with business goals, maximize product revenue, profit margin, market penetration, and address market trends. Manage sales force and distributor network in the accomplishment of established sales goals and objectives. Third party sales management experience.Proven ability to lead, monitor, evaluate and motivate field sales force.Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

This position involves 50% to 70% travel with the ideal candidate possessing all qualities listed above as well as fabric and craft industry experience.

 

Compensation:$100,000 - $115,000 range20% bonus opportunity
