Human Resources Assistant

The Apparel Group, LTD, a stable and growth-driven manufacturing organization is seeking a Human Resources Assistant.  This opportunity provides an employee focused environment with excellent benefits and competitive compensation offering.  Also, there will be the opportunity to work in a brand new state of the art facility located in Austin Ranch (Lewisville) beginning in Spring 2008. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist HR team to meet department deadlines and goals. Direct all phone and foot traffic in the front lobbyUpdate applicant tracking and reporting, scheduling, resume response maintenance. Run errands for company events and initiatives. Assist HR team with recruiting efforts (scheduling). Assist with new hires (setup, facilities items). Follow-through on recurring responsibilities (i.e. posting renewals, candidate status – prescreens, backgrounds, interviews). Maintain company org chart. Assist in departmental invoice processing (for Contractors and HR vendors). Act as back-up for Administrative team when needed (covering Reception, stand-in for absent Admins). Individual must take a hands-on approach and be comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees, both internal and external. Stock and maintain breakroom and supply closets Provide administrative support for HR Team

  • Process monthly recognition programs (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries, company sponsor events, holiday parties) and other recognition programs as directed.

  • Administration of all filing and HR related paperwork processingSpecial projects as needed and assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

·  1+ years experience in Human Resources, in a Generalist or Administrator capacity.

·  Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Exceptional follow-up and organizational skills.

· Must be detail-oriented with an aptitude for continually streamlining processes.

·  Must be able to work within all levels of the organization.

· MS Office and Excel proficiency required.
