Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the relationship between the Business and the IS department/Service Provider for the Marketing organization representing the Build Brands (BB) mega-process. The role acts as the advocate for Build Brands through the brokering of business needs and issue (process, information, system and training) back through the IS organization and will act as a liaison with the business teams, process leads and subject matter experts in the user community. Responsible for managing the business improvement needs within Marketing Intelligence and Marketing Communications.

Business Partnership
· Develops and enhances partnership with the business as demonstrated by ability to engage the business and be perceived by the business as not only an implementation specialist but as a key team member in meeting business goals and objectives.
· Manages business expectations for on-going projects, enhancements and other efforts that engage IS resources.
· Leads prioritization/conflict resolution among business, internal IS and external IS projects, enhancements and work requests.

Project Discovery and Analysis
· Lead discovery efforts with the business to evaluate business processes and identify high level needs before jumping to business requirements and system development.
· Clearly articulate proposed project benefits for both the business and IS, and assist in getting the project approved through the appropriate processes.
· Lead and synthesize requirements and business process flows through a variety of methods spanning interviews, documentation analysis and requirements workshops, and document appropriately to gain better levels of understanding from both business partners and the service provider.· Lead requirements analysis and validation, ensuring requirements statements are complete (covering both expected and exception processes), traceable and suitable to develop the complete solution (system, data/data flows, security, performance, resources, etc.).
Project Design
· Validate specifications, test scenarios and completed solutions returned from provider are aligned with original requirements, complete, and consistent.
· Possesses the understanding of system design and application capabilities/limitations in order to discuss viable solution alternatives with provider.
· Develop the impact analysis (financial, system, data, resource, process integration, etc) for solution alternatives and lead the process to evaluate alternatives.
Project Management
· Create and initiate projects by identifying all of its related components, including key tasks, Critical Success Factors, Milestones, resources, delivery approach, risk management, etc.
· Ensure project costs are accurately documented and benefits are reasonable and validated by the appropriate parties.
· Responsible for engaging with manager appropriately to delivery on projects, resolve issues and meet milestones and work with the service provider.
Project Testing and Deployment
· Lead end user acceptance testing.
· Lead the identification of training and deployment needs and requirements.
· Ensure training materials are consistent, address business requirements and are aligned with adoption goals.
IS process Improvement
· Lead and/or participate in IS process improvement initiatives.
Issue Management
· Provide production support by managing routed tickets and manage system issues with the service provider.
· Responsible for keeping the business stakeholders up to date on open issues and providing their feedback to the service provider as necessary.

Knowledge Sharing / Management
· Cross-train service provider staff on the processes and system design configurations.
· Publish and update documents in our central repository to further ensure transparency, consistency and speed.

Minimum Requirements:
Years and Type of Experience:
· 7 – 10 years of IS or related experience; experience with technology implementation preferred; Customer relationship management experience; Strategy development, process and configuration a plus.
· Understanding of Marketing business processes and integration points a plus.
· Management consulting or Advertising experience a plus.
· Experience with Marketing technology solutions with Marketing Resource Management, Consumer Relationship Management, Loyalty Relationship Management, Interactive/Web Marketing, and Marketing Content Management preferred.
· Experience in not only developing and/or managing projects in related technologies, but also in determining strategy around marketing relationship management desired.
Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to identify root cause, conducts a gap analysis, and develop a comprehensive impact assessment.
· Understands project financials / implications as well as TCO (Total cost of Ownership).
· Demonstrated leadership, innovation, and business engagement skills.
· Facilitation and listening skills to effectively lead interviews and workshops.
· Solid written, oral and presentation skills in order to influence across functions and organizations.
· Effective in a matrix environment.
· Ability to work independently and influence peers and subordinates.
· Knowledge of project management and development methodologies/tools.
· Experience with visualization tools such as Visio/PowerPoint to graphically represent and augment textual information.
· Good understanding of database concepts.
· Experience with leading applications/technologies specific to the function area.
· Demonstrated business knowledge of CPG Marketing and the integration points with other process areas as well as strong analytical, problem solving, technical and project management capabilities to effectively collect requirements, define alternatives, ensure quality and measure results.
· Responsible for following established IS and Service provider processes/methodologies to successfully move solutions through the lifecycle and to ensure consistency/transparency.

Education Level/Degree:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
· Master’s degree or other certification preferred.
