Manager In Training
Overview:
A Parker School Uniform Manager in Training is responsible for assisting the store manager in all aspects of running a profitable store. They are responsible for helping set the tone and leading the store’s culture/environment to ensure success in all aspects of customer service, profitable operations, personnel development, store operations and relationships with our current and future schools.
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure the highest level of customer service throughout the store by effective staff planning, monitoring, training and timely communication of any changes
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer issues in a timely and appropriate manner
- Create and maintain a positive work environment for employees
-Interact with customers and schools on a daily basis insuring satisfied customers
- Maintain standards of operation for total store including visual presentation, security, human resources and operations
- Complete payroll every two weeks
- Responsible for the paperwork and data entry
- Ensure that the stockroom is clean and orderly
- In conjunction with store manager, prepare and conduct store inventory
- Assist the store manager in any way
- Travel between Parker stores when needed
Skills and Competencies:
-Ability to relate and communicate well with our wide customer base
- Ability to take the necessary steps to ensure that all customers are happy
-Ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Ability to maintain a fair, consistent set of standards as they apply to work force
-Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be technically proficient with all computer programs and various other technical support systems
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others, understand material and provide instructions to all employees
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a college degree, 2 to 4 years of retail managerial experience, or an equivalent combination of both education and retail experience. Basic knowledge of Excel, Word and email are required. Must be willing to work Saturdays and the back to school season.
