Pattern Maker

Well known women’s designer swimwear company is seeking a seasoned Pattern Maker for a busy single facility design and manufacturing operation.  The Pattern Maker will work closely with the designer to assist with the creation of new products and facilitate the transition of products from design to production.

 



Duties to include: Create sample patterns Transition patterns from sample through production Ensure patterns are digitized into system as needed Edit/correct patterns Grade patterns Create garment specifications Oversee pattern assistant Supervise sample sewing and finishing of samples Maintain accurate records of work, reports and communication. Facilitate communication of all garment construction details from pre-production to production teams Advise on production feasibility including construction Advise improvements as well as cost saving recommendations including but not limited to construction alternatives and reduction of material utilization Communicate on a daily basis with Design and Production team Maintain and adhere to production rollout calendar Ensure all details and fit are to specification. Ensure brand integrity and quality Participate in special projects as needed Support all company initiatives and goals



 

Qualifications: 4 year college degree or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years experience in ready-to-wear pattern making Minimum of 3 years CAD experience (e.g. Gerber, Lectra, etc…) Stretch experience a must Computer proficient (Windows XP, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) Knowledge of construction and fit Cut and sew experience Knowledge of production capabilities, limitations, and requirements Must possess the ability to develop and maintain consistent size, fit and quality standards throughout patterns to ensure brand integrity Excellent communication and problem solving skills
