 PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.  Product Specifications

a. Monitor customer product, packaging, and process requirements

b.  Oversee compilation of complete product specification, including product, product-packaging, and transport-packaging

c. Convey deliverable specifications to suppliers

d.  Resolve supplier questions

2.  Quality Specifications

a. Monitor all customer quality control specifications and process requirements

b.  Oversee/Direct QC inspection teams (4-6 members) and processes in USA and abroad

3.  Monitor and facilitate production

a. Set production calendars

b.  Disseminate milestones and timeline-responsibilities to the organization

c. Monitor and direct Production Coordinator overseas

d.  Monitor progress against timeline

e. Resolve technical production issues (weaving, dyeing, printing, cut/sew)

f.  Resolve delays

4.  Coordinate and interact with customers, suppliers and internal departments

 POSITION SUMMARY:

Northern New Jersey Textile Designer / Importer seeks Production Manager. Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of overseas production of goods, including: collection of detailed product specifications; communication of same internally and externally; establish, monitor, maintain and disseminate production schedule. Oversee and direct QC functions. Requirements: Extensive textile production experience, managerial experience, detail-orientation, organized, basic computer skills, good communication skills.
