Reporting to: Scheduling Manager

Summary: Determines production priorities; organizes production schedule; publishes production schedule; monitors production; resolves scheduling problems; prepares reports; maintains production data base; secures information; contributes to team effort.

Responsibilities: Determines production priorities by studying master production schedule and customer requirements. Organizes production schedule by studying work order specifications, current schedule, and availability of equipment, materials, and employees. Publishes production schedule by identifying products, equipment, sequence, completion dates, etc. Monitors production by collecting production logs; comparing progress to schedule. Resolves scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information; coordinating solutions. Prepares reports by compiling and summarizing production and downtime data. Maintains production data base by entering data. Secures information by completing data base backups. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements: 3-5 years previous scheduling experience. Can maintain resource materials, supplies, and equipment to ensure smooth operation. Skilled at using database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software to prepare statistical and written reports with varying degrees of complexity and detail for management. Easily analyzes and prioritizes information, distilling it to the critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions. Uses multiple resources, quantitative, and qualitative research methodologies to capture and interpret information. Committed to exceeding quality standards and providing exceptional products and services.  Exercises excellent judgment in analyzing and resolving complex issues. Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures. Knowledge of quality and inspection requirements, manufacturing processes, and measurement techniques. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
