Production & Sourcing Manager

Deliver quality product, on time and at the right price while executing and representing Eddie Bauer’s sourcing and production needs.

Core Accountabilities:
· Sourcing function
· Develop & execute regional sourcing plan for all denim categories.
· Identify and research new suppliers/factories/markets to ensure EB sourcing needs are consistently met. (Preliminary costing, social compliance, factory assessment, logistics, payment terms, reorders, compatibility, etc)
· Liaison with Development from initial concept to line adoption to ensure regional readiness and placement. Partner with developers to achieve appropriate product mix and fabric sourcing.
· Assess seasonal capacities and prepare plans accordingly.
· Place fabric and raw material projections with mills and vendors.
· Negotiate prices based on engineered costs and market demand, in support of EB Merchandising.
· Develop strategies with vendors and mills to support immediate replenishment.
· Monitor and evaluate vendor performance. Drive necessary course correction to ensure deliverables are met.
· Problem solve with supplier when production/relationship issues arise to ensure deliverables are met.
· Represent region in Merchant weekly production meetings.
· Resolve vendor disputes in a timely manner (Claims, RTV’s, liabilities)
· Management and leadership
· Identify, mentor and coach subordinates to drive high performance
· Oversee subordinates responsibilities to ensure that deliverables are met
· Primary EB representative in the supplier relationship.


Education/Experience Required:
· Strong proven ability to work within Retail (production, merchandising, planning etc) and manufacturing environment
· Strong networking skills/ability to form partnerships/strong diplomatic skills
· Demonstrated ability to work in multi-cultural environment
· Exceptionally strong problem solving and negotiation skills
· Analytical and statistical aptitude
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong PC skills
· Strong project management abilities
· Basic knowledge of apparel costing in the manufacturing and wet processes.
· Established network.
· Flexible to travel based on business demands and relationship building. Approximately 25%.

Education/Experience Required:
· 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
· 8-10 years experience in Sourcing, preferably in Apparel
