Inc. is recognized as the global leader in the manufacturing of healthcare, hospitality, & institutional textiles, apparel, surgical, incontinence care, decorative products & linen management services.  We are currently seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to be based in Cincinnati, OH.

 

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for providing direct support and direction to the Buyer/Planners within the Purchasing Department.  Daily activities along with maintaining an existing workload are to supply support and guidance in the areas of purchasing, inventory management, vendor forecasting, etc.

 

Major responsibilities include:

·  Assisting with sourcing and purchasing of finished goods and raw materials.

·  Issuing purchase orders and maintaining the defined inventory levels as outlined by management.

·  Communicating effectively with vendors to obtain product, price, and availability information.

·  Reviewing and evaluating forecasted demands to prepare and issue purchase or transfer orders accordingly.

·  Providing timely and accurate delivery information to all internal and external customers.

·  Monitoring and maintaining appropriate inventory levels at Standard Textile facilities in order to maximize stock availability and minimizing inventory investments.

 

Requirements include:

·  College Degree

·  3-5 years Purchasing Supervisory Experience

·  Global Purchasing Experience and Textile Experience are preferred.

·  Proficiency with Excel and Outlook

·  Experience with MRP and JD Edwards (AS400) is also preferred.

·  APICS/APS Certification is a  plus.
