Sales Associate, Furniture

 

We have an outstanding opportunity available for a sales professional with a passion for home furnishings and interior design to broaden selling skills and product knowledge in a specialty, to the trade only environment.  This position provides the opportunity to:

 

·  Develop selling skills in a to the trade environment by actively participating in floor sales and growing an assigned account base.

·  Learn the administrative aspects of processing and following up on sales orders by assisting a seasoned sales consultant with these responsibilities.

·  Develop thorough product knowledge through day-to-day selling activities, assisting sales consultants with product research and participating in vendor and showroom product training.  Primary assigned product category includes but is not limited to furniture and related accessories. 

·  Work a regular schedule from Monday through Friday.

·  Become a fully commissioned sales associate with the ability to substantially increase earnings.

 

Requirements include a high school degree or equivalent work experience, a minimum of two years sales experience in a retail environment.  Interior design degree or certification preferred.  Home furnishings industry experience and PC skills highly desired.  This position will be initially compensated on an hourly basis.
