Sourcing Manager

The Plantation, FL based Americas Sourcing group, has the following opening:  Sourcing Manager  The primary responsibility of the Sourcing Manager is to partner with the Director of Souricng to execute and manage worldwide sourcing capabilities for their assigned business unit. Collaborates with Merchandisers in their business unit, to execute the procurement of products to meet our customer's needs and to provide alternatives for the development of product lines. Manages the international vendor portfolio that could supply this business unit. Establish control-related standards and procedures. Specific Responsibilities and Activities Key Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for vendor management. Negotiates and communicates all costing and delivery information. Conducts vendor analysis on quarterly basis.  2. Facilitates the product development process, which includes: lab dips, artwork for prints and yarn dyes, strike offs, handlooms, trim development, pattern development and first sign off for fit and construction details, fabric testing sales samples.  3. Works with SBUs to find out individual product needs (ie. price points, delivery schedules, gross margins, fabric quality and silhouette) on all opportunities.  4. Interfaces with mills, factories, and SBUs to ensure consistent and high quality product is available in a timely manner. Facilitates and resolves daily problems inherent in import production. Insures vendors have current product and dimension specifications. Coordinates VF Asia's quality assurance efforts during production period.  5. Monitors forecasts and order placement information from Operations and communicates to vendors.  6. Explores new and improved avenues to produce product worldwide and assists with standardizing processes and procedures for product development. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required.2-3 years experience in product importing Strong understanding of product construction, specifications, and quality requirements Baseline understanding supply chain process and importing Must be detailed oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines Excellent communication skills Expert PC skills using spreadsheets If you are interested in joining VF Corporation, we invite you to apply online.
