Supply Chain Analyst / Assistant Manager

 

Well-established Southern California apparel manufacturer has an excellent opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager.

 

Job Responsibilities:

· Assist VP in coordinating and resolving issues that affect the on-time delivery of existing and new products. This will include defining, measuring, analyzing and improving current processes and systems by engaging with the leadership of Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, Planning, Production and DC.

· Ensure that key dates on the supply chain calendar are met.  Follow-up when performance lags behind schedule and alert management if delays affect sales plans.

· Assist with implementation of process and system improvement initiatives by monitoring, tracking, and communicating results. 

· Recommend solutions to ensure gap closure between current state and desired state of processes and systems as they relate to delivering products on time.

· Assist in developing strategies that reduce overall costs, improve lead-times, and optimize customer service levels.

· Track and analyze inventory on hand, target inventory levels and lead-time variability, etc.

· Assist in defining core metrics, key performance indicators (KPI’s), and other performance goals.

· Support supply chain initiatives as needed with data mining, data analysis and reporting.

 

Job Requirements:

· BS/BA degree.  Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering preferred.

· 2+ year relevant experience.

· Acute attention to details.

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

· Project leadership and management skills a plus.

· Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Access.  SQL/Data Management- a huge plus.

· APICS certification or Lean / Six Sigma – a plus.

· Knowledge of integrated supply chain systems - MRP / ERP – a plus.
