NVIDIA is searching for world-class software engineers to join the workstation driver team.

You are expected to design, develop, and deliver 3D driver solutions for new workstation GPU designs on current and future Windows platforms. This position involves maintenance of legacy software and devices, emulation and validation of new chip designs, development and architecture of new SW technologies to support our workstation GPUs, OpenGL and/or DirectX revisions, hardware features and other derivative GPU technologies. You also will be defining and implementing software modules as interfaces between high level graphics APIs and the hardware. Responsibilities:As 3D Workstation Software Engineer at NVIDIA, you will work on the 3D drivers for our Quadro graphics products Software design for the next generation workstation graphics solutions Develop and maintain SW technologies targeted at enabling and supporting NVIDIA's graphics hardware: on the current and upcoming Windows based operating systems insuring the best performance and feature set cross platform implementation Performance optimizations Supporting new HW graphics architectures along multiple design phases: emulation, simulation and chip bring-up Working with other internal worldwide teams (software, hardware, architecture, OEM support) Minimum Requirements:B.S. or M.S. or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. 3+ years "hands on" experience developing low level device drivers or 3D applications. Strong software engineering skills combined with a drive to solve hard problems are a must. Strong programming skills in C and C++. Knowledge of 3D graphics APIs and DDIs (Direct3D or OpenGL). An understanding of graphics fundamentals, experience with Windows based operating systems and a strong knowledge of system architecture is required. Strong English written and oral communication skills to interface with other engineers (worldwide) A strong team player; self motivated and good attitude The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal direction. Prior experience developing graphics drivers would be a plus Windows device driver coding experience would be a plus Linux or Mac operating systems experience is a plus EOE
