Advisory Accountant (08-US215) - Boulder, CO document.write(jobbody);POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Join the InfoPrint accounting team and be responsible in many aspects of general and consolidation accounting. This includes, the following:

- Performs complex operational/technical accounting and analysis and financial reporting for geographic regions, consolidated countries, legal entities, divisions and/or other measurement units. Responsible for accounting studies, projects and programs of an inter-organizational nature and development of broad accounting practices, procedures and policies of increasing complexity and financial significance. Summarizes and evaluates the output and analyses of other professionals in developing consolidated views of profitability/financial analysis, or the impact of new accounting policy. Is often the process leader or systems owner for a functional area of accounting and the primary interface to functional partners.
- Performs consolidation and/or specialized accounting. Prepares and presents to management consolidated financial statements at a geographic region, legal entity, division or segment (brand, industry, services offerings) level.
- Deals with complex issues and specialized data. Provides thorough management information and interpretation while ensuring high standards of financial control. Negotiates the resolution of controversial issues, practices and regulations.
- Ensures validity of accounting records for diverse area of operation and provides center of competency to other functional partners and users.
- Assumes broad process responsibility and leadership for functional accounting operations (i.e. revenue recognition, contract interpretation, consolidation, ledger, assets, tax, royalties, accounts payable etc.). Conducts technical professional studies of controversial and emerging issues, practices, policies and regulations and leads projects/ teams.
- Provides interpretation and classification of existing accounting practices and analyzes recommendations for changes to standards. Formulates procedures to cope with the new and/or emerging problems not covered under standard practices and policies. Provides interpretation of applicability of specialized accounting requirements.
- Maintains high sensitivity to control fundamentals and posture of organization. Maintains audit ready status at all times.
- Provides systems ownership and control coordination for functional accounting areas (i.e. inter-company, assets, ledger, payroll, travel) to include large change requests, new system requirements, emerging projects, management control reporting and process expertise.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned. This should include a basic understanding of the implications of SOX/SACA requirements on specific responsibilities.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Required Skills:
Accounting:
Advanced knowledge of accounting theory, operations and related financial areas to understand and solution a variety of accounting/business problems. Specialized knowledge in operational accounting systems and related controls. Professional knowledge and understanding of SOX/SACA requirements, and their implications on specific accounting responsibilities. Skilled user of spreadsheet, PC graphics, word processing and desktop groupware technology to develop analyses, reports and presentations.
Communication/Negotiation:
Strong communication and negotiation skills sufficient to impart information and secure agreement to accounting practices and validity of information in an independent manner. Can write and articulate clear, concise management reports and memorandums to achieve comprehension and cooperation. Regular contact with accounting and finance executives. Effective in coordinating and leading team dynamics, including defining approaches, objectives and reaching conclusions.
Problem Solving:
Analyzes specialized and diverse areas of operations, profitability/financial position and/or difficult accounting studies or projects. Through analyses and recommendations, identifies to management ways to improve performance and control. Handles multitude of issues and situations in a functional area of accounting operations requiring exceptional judgment and creativity. Interprets and classifies existing accounting practices, procedures and techniques and provides recommendations relative to changes. Recognized for process expertise in functional area of operation.

Preferred Skills:
CPA - 5+ years experience in financial accounting consolidation.

Education/Certification:
BS Accounting.
