Application Development Business Analyst

iBridge Solutions, a locally owned, privately held company is looking for an experienced Application Development Business Analyst to join their project team! 

 

Position Overview:

 

Prospective candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience defining business systems requirements and experience coordinating the design, development testing, implementation and support of custom developed .NET or Java based web applications and/or experience in the implementation and support of COTS (package based) applications.  The ideal candidate is someone who has supported the full lifecycle design, development and implementation of an n-tier, web or client/server based applications. 

 

Experience Required:

 

· Experience consulting with Customer Business Owners and internal IT staff to define business systems requirements, experience identifying wants vs. needs, determining the technical feasibility of the proposed enhancements and experience documenting functional requirements using a formal or client based SDLC methodology. 

· Experience communicating business systems requirements to a technical application development staff and working closely with them to resolve both business related questions and technical related application development issues. 

· Experience working closely with a formal application testing (QA) staff to ensure that each functional requirement is tested to client satisfaction and to ensure that the formal customer buyoff is achieved.

· Experience supporting the implementation of custom developed web and/or client server based application enhancements.  Experience answering both technical and business related questions about the application or suite of applications supported.

· Experience providing production support for custom developed n-tier applications in a highly matrixed, enterprise level development environment. 

 

Nice to have Experience:

 

· Experience serving as a lead analyst supporting the management of software development projects.  Experienced preparing an overall project plan using MS Project, incorporating project costs and tasks from the various components and experience supporting successful and timely project implementations. 

· Experience juggling multiple projects as a Business Analyst and a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). 

· Experience supporting multiple requirements gathering methods including JAD, RUP, UML, and use case development with practical experience using at least one.

· Experience serving as a Subject Matter Expert with the ability to research systems issues using SQL queries or SQL tools like TOAD or SQL Query Analyzer.

· Experience ensuring methodology compliance, documenting problem areas and coordinating resolutions and reporting to management as necessary. 

· Experience researching client and industry-related business/technical processes and coordinating the implementation of new or revised rules and policies.
