Job Description:
The SLED leadership role in the organization is to develop a strategy for growth and then drive growth in the State, Local and education marketplace for PC Mall Gov. The position owns the revenue and profit number (along with their peer in Sales) for the overall segment and is responsible for implementing strategic and tactical initiatives across the organization to meet revenue and profitability goals.
Essential Job Functions:Maintains a strong working knowledge of the market, both from a product and technology perspective and a customer segment perspective
Develops marketing strategies for acquiring customers in the SLED space, including vertical strategies for high growth segments, i.e. K-12, or environmental
Develops strategies for growing revenues of key manufacturer and technologies in the SLED space
Leads the company in expanding our market share and penetration of the SLED marketplace
Creates and manages marketing vehicles and promotions specifically for the SLED market to both acquire SLED customers and to increase penetration and retention for SLED customers
Acts as the lead for manufacturer specific engagements for SLED, and responsible for developing with Category Marketing, specific promotions and campaigns for SLED
Increases visibility and usage of SLED contracts, drives development and implementation of contract merchandising/marketing activities nationwide
Elevates sales force competence through segment education on customers and vehicles, as well as recommends/develops internal & external tools
Identifies (in conjunction with sales) additional contract opportunities and actively participates in efforts to capture these contracts
There is a limited amount of travel to support the assigned areas-- to our offices in California and Montreal as well as partner/customer meetings & events.
Qualifications:Bachelors Degree or equivalent Industry experienceExperience working for a reseller or systems integratorPublic Sector Sales and/or marketing Experience Ability to execute, focused on resultsStrong communication, presentation and teamwork skillsStrong work-ethic and self disciplineAbility to perform both Strategic and Tactical functions and operate across multiple organizational levels.Candidate needs to be located in the DC/VA area and be able to commute to Manassas, VA
