Business Development Executive

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB

The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for growing business by acquiring net new Enterprise accounts. The BDE accomplishes this by prospecting, presenting and closing key Enterprise accounts. The Business Development Executive is responsible to conduct their business face-to-face with travel to their targeted geographies, as well as over the phone.

 

THE KEY DUTIES YOU WILL PERFORM IN THIS JOB INCLUDE:

 

· Successfully filter and qualify prospects in order to build pipeline to ensure goals are met. 

· Effectively communicate to all levels of an organization Insight’s complete value proposition.

· Conducts proactive, outbound communication to key decision makers and executives within key accounts. Focuses on building relationships and raising visibility at the executive level in each of those key accounts.

· Takes the lead on Enterprise prospect engagements.

· Cultivate and develop relationships with net new prospects to achieve end goal of winning key Enterprise clients.

· Identify appropriate time to engage and transition prospect/client to Client Solution Executives.

· Develop and uncover qualified prospects for assigned territories.  These accounts once secured will be managed by Enterprise Client Solutions Executives. 

· Responsible for providing feedback and reports based on revenue generated and activity pipeline.

· Provide direction to Client Solutions Executives as it relates to industry trends and account mapping/strategies.

· Develop field relationships with strategic vendor partners.

· Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of leading industry trends such as electronic commerce, spend management and technology initiatives.

 TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION,YOU MUST: Have a Bachelors degree Be a hunter with heavy prospecting experience Enjoy the thrill of the hunt and reaching C-level executives, and presenting Insight’s solutions Have experience in B2B sales of software, systems, or technical services solutions Be skilled in utilizing the consultative selling approach.  Use your excellent analytical skills to assess, understand and translate customer needs into business potential. Be able to travel within assigned geographic territory and other locations as assigned. Have strong communication, organization, and time management skills. Be able to build both internal and external relationships Have solid problem solving and consultative skills Be self driven, motivated and results oriented. Be able to build relationships and quickly develop trust with in all levels of an organization. Be proficient using PC, including Microsoft Office email, and internet
