The ideal applicants will possess demonstrated analytical, problem solving, communications and team management skills and the following experience and education:

 

· 6+ years of IT experience with 3+ years of experience in Crystal Enterprise

· Working with the Business Objects (BO) XI R2 administrator

· Experience in architecting, developing and deploying Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, including complex Crystal Reports with Business Objects XIR2

· Experience in Oracle Designer, Erwin, and DB Designer Database 10g on Windows/Linux/Solaris Oracle data types and database objects/DDL Oracle PL/SQL, analytical functions, and materialized views Oracle Export/Import, SQLPlus, TOAD Oracle Discoverer and/or Oracle Reports is a plus

· Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Unix and/or Linux Operating Systems is required.

· BS degree (Computer Science preferred) from an accredited university.

· Applications support in core lines of business and data types including Finance, Grants, Acquisitions (Purchasing), Human Resource Management

· Management of the work of others as assigned

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Designs and develops detailed business reports supporting the client organization using Business Objects reporting tools (Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence) and Oracle PL/SQL.

·Serves as an in-house Crystal Reports expert and provides troubleshooting assistance to the business users and their contractors who design their own Crystal Reports.
Business Objects (BO) application and Data Integrator (DI) servers.

·Uses Business Objects XI and Performance Manager to deploy complex reports developed by contractors and internal users.

·Establishes procedures and standards for the use of BO (e.g., job submission, data structures, naming, and other application and architectural standards).

·Manages a team of junior resources, if required

·Oversees the maintenance of the BO website on the Intranet

·Plans and ensures currency of BO software including maintenance releases, upgrades and patches, user administration.

·Oversees and coordinates customer support by ensuring problems are logged, tracked and closed

·Plans and executes integrations, as required, to other Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives, tools and environments.

·Works effectively with infrastructure and database groups to coordinate the creation, maintenance and support of BO databases (e. g., data warehousing applications), utilizes tools (e.g., import utility, Dashboard Analytics) to install and support databases.

·Develops technical solutions and schema for indexing, clustering, snapshots, views, and other database objects, and participates in database rollback, file sizing, and all the other aspects related to the performance tuning of databases.

·Provides technical architecture and capacity planning input.
