CDN Sales Engineer

POSITION PURPOSE:

Sales Engineers with specific experience in the Content Distribution Networking industry are the technical liaison to assist the various sales teams with understanding and offering solutions for customer needs.  The Sales Engineer also helps disseminate information and training materials on new products to the Sales personnel, while simultaneously providing feedback on customer needs and wants.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Reports to Director of Systems Administration.

· Work closely with Sales Teams to provide technical guidance via phone, e-mail, and in person.

· Be the resident technical expert on the company products.

· Assist Education and Marketing to develop training materials for the Sales system.

· Participate in discussions with sales staff and potential customers.

· Work with customers to clearly define technical requirements and realistic expectations.

· Active participation in product development by providing feedback and disseminating information about upcoming products to the Sales staff.

· Provide timely feedback to Product Specialists regarding customer requests and trends.

· Maintain and expand personal knowledge of new technologies and Company products.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Extensive knowledge of the Content Distribution Networking industry.

· A proven track record demonstrating good business judgments.

· Must have experience developing and enhancing strong client relationships.

· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills appropriate to both technical and management clients.

· High degree of familiarity with Company products and procedures.

· High degree of professionalism.

· Proven team player.

· Demonstrated ability to handle high levels of stress.

· Ability to stay focused on the task at hand, ensuring that timelines are met and operations are not adversely impacted.
