EE and Auto CAD designers are encouraged to apply for this significant career advancing opportunity.*** Position:  Junior Cable Design Engineer / Data Center Design / IT Auto CAD DesignLocation:  US-NY-New York CityBase Pay:  $60,000.00 to $80,000.00Job Number:  MAN01302008aIndustry:  Consulting Services/Audio VisualJob Type:  Telecommunications EngineeringRequired Experience: Entry Level - 2 years experience A world-class NYC based technology Consultant Company seeks IMMEDIATELY a Cabling Design Engineer for technology related projects.  The Cable Design Engineer will work with CAD Technicians and Project Managers in the development of construction drawings and bid specifications used in the procurement and installation of telecommunications infrastructure.The Cabling Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and specification of telecommunications cable plants for technology projects.  Project types include both new buildings and retrofits in virtually all market verticals including commercial, education, government, health care, retail and residential.  The Cabling Design Engineer will be the primary project manager responsible for collecting client requirements and translating them into construction documents for implementation by professional telecommunications contractors.  The successful candidate shall posses the following qualities:·  Understanding of telecommunications cabling design and implementation·  Familiarity with industry standards including BICSI, IEEE and TIA/EIA·  Thorough familiarity with blue prints and construction documentation·  Excellent verbal and written skills·  Ability to independently manage multiple projects·  Ability to manage CAD resources in the development of construction documents·  Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines·  An eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality·  Proficiency in AutoCAD (version 2005 or better), MS Word and MS Excel·  RCDD certification a plus Key responsibilities will include:·  Interfacing with clients, Architects, Engineers and construction trade contractors·  Writing design outlines and compiling design criteria·  Running coordination meeting and taking detailed meeting minutes·  Preparation of cabling design drawing packages·  Writing CSI format specifications·  Review and approval of shop drawings and submittals·  Field coordination of cabling installation work·  Review and analysis of cable test results The hire of this individual is being considered a TOP PRIORITY!   The industry-best compensation package includes top base salary, bonus, profit sharing and outstanding fringe benefits.   IF YOUR BACKGROUND DOES NOT MEET ALL OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS, PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US!
