Cable Engineers - North Shore - 85 Remote Sites

Location: North Shore, MA 01915 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Pay Rate: 25.00 - 28.00 USD /hour Reference Code: 000000000 We are currently looking for 2 contract Engineers to cover 85 locations (all libraries) to start June 2nd and be completed by June 30th.  The goal is to turn up 6 sites a day using 2 engineers (each responible for 3 sites a day). All locations are in the North Shore area of Massachusetts. Engineers will have remote support from a Call Center if needed.  The individuals chosen for this project will also be required to set up a 1 day training with the client sometime this month at their office in Warwick, RI.  All engineers need to have a laptop, cell phone, console cables & patch cables. For each branch library, once a circuit has been installed and confirmed, the engineer will arrive on-site with a replacement Adtran CSU/DSU (Unit and Cabling to be provided by Minuteman).  This will occur during a maintenance window as agreed upon. The new MPLS T1 will be terminated and tested for connectivity.  Any changes to the head end will be done at this time as well to map the new circuit to that site and any internal routing and security changes at the head end will be performed.  The existing circuit can now be disconnected from the branch router and replaced with the new MPLS hand off from the CSU/DSU. The decommissioned CTC IAD will be brought back to Minuteman. A typical branch library utilizes a 1760 router with a WIC-1T or a Nortel (Bay) router with a serial T1 interface.  Minuteman has an inventory of Atran units (used before CTC) and necessary cables that will be used for this conversion.  This should be confirmed before each site is turned up to make sure the necessary interfaces are in the edge router. The engineer will be responsible for documenting all serial numbers and will provide Atrion with the documentation when the project is complete.
