Central Region Sales Leader

 

CompTIA, the voice of the world-wide technology industry, seeks a successful Central Region sales leader to drive sales of its industry leading vendor-neutral technology certification exams, such as A+, Network+ and Security+ along with other business services. Since establishing the certification program in 1993, more than one million CompTIA certifications have been earned worldwide with CompTIA enjoying robust growth. Currently, CompTIA offers certifications in PC hardware, networking, servers, Internet, e-business, convergence, project management, training, Linux, security, home technology, document imaging and RFID.

 

Candidates must demonstrate an ability to gain early visibility of major opportunities within the technology industry vertical and to lead sales campaigns drawing upon consultative and solution selling techniques.  They should be comfortable relating to and selling to senior executives in ways that develop lasting and productive relationships.  They should also be skilled in selling with and through business partners.

 

Candidates should demonstrate an ability to assess the needs of a diverse range of technology and communication companies, providing feedback to CompTIA’s Skills Development and Marketing teams to ensure that CompTIA’s certification and services portfolio addresses industry requirements.

 

Other key accountabilities include:building a solid customer pipelineproviding account mapping and opportunity identificationproviding a clear Go to Market strategy in the Central Regioneffectively presenting the CompTIA value proposition to key clients, partners and industry players

 

The successful candidate will report to CompTIA’s Vice President Sales for the Americas.

 

Requirements:Bachelor degree7+ years of services or technology sales, preferably training, software, or professional servicesLocal C-level contacts in the Central United States100% quota attainment history
