Channel Marketing Manager
CHANNEL MARKETING MANAGER

The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for actively leading the world-wide creation, implementation, and coordination of SonicWALL’s channel marketing programs, campaigns and policies, all in support of promoting the SonicWALL brand and yearly sales goal. As SonicWALL aggressively targets greater channel development, the main concentration from the channel marketing team will be to provide innovative, consistent, predictable and repeatable strategies and tools to sell to, through, and with our channel partners. This position will manage and coordinate channel promotional plans, partner training and incentive programs, communication of MDF policies and programs, channel product launches, and marketing communications to channel partners.
ResponsibilitiesSuccess at both creating and managing innovative, timely, measurable, and cost effective channel marketing programs with worldwide consideration, while keeping local execution in mind.Craft compelling partner communications, delivered via multimedia, including newsletters, partner extranet, print collateral materials, webinars, ppt, and video.Develop selling tools to drive new partner recruitment and development.Innovate new channel partner programs tools, resources, and program elements to enable partner profitability and growth.Manage partner events that are on budget and generate substantial partner productivity and loyalty.Directly work with the sales management team to effectively maximize channel marketing budgets and MDF expenditures.Execution of tactical campaigns based on product launches and overall corporate objectives.Demonstrate the ability to innovate and be creative in all aspects of the job.
RequirementsExtensive knowledge and proven experience planning and executing marketing plans within distribution, VAR, and service provider channels.Demonstrated experience selecting and working with vendors, including event management firms, printers, and production resources.Prior experience managing events and channel programs.Superior written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization, time management, project management, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in multiple languages a plusAbility to travel, spending time with partners, customers, and sales colleagues (10%).Desire to get involved and lead initiativesAbility to successfully communicate and collaborate cross functionally Ability to successfully drive major projectsSuccess at broadening knowledge and staying current in all of the following areas: products, marketing, and management topics.Ability to be constantly creative and innovative and show execution on these ideas.
Education and ExperienceBS/BA in Marketing or related field preferred; or equivalent experience. Preferred: MBA or other advanced degreeWork Experience: 5-8 years in similar marketing roles. Prior experience in preparing strategic marketing plans, including setting objectives, defining budget and project requirements, and planning and executing tactics.
