Cisco IP Telepphony Specialist

As a Cisco IP Telephony Specialist, you will be responsible for the technical leadership, architectural design, project management and deployment of Cisco IP Telephony solutions.  This will include installation of Cisco IP Telephony software (and other third party software), hardware setup and testing, scripting and integration with other enterprise applications.

 

The successful candidate will have a background in both managing and developing Cisco Unified Communications technologies.  Preferably, this candidate will also have a strong networking background as well as a sold understanding of voice engineering.

 

Responsibilities

? Perform remote and on-site client consultation

? Planning, designing, implementing and supporting the voice infrastructure



? Some travel is required

Qualifications

? Minimum of one year experience in consulting experience preferred

? Must possess excellent client management/resolution skills, problem solving skills, verbal communication skills and written documentation skills

? Must possess the ability to transfer knowledge and work well within a team

? Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with clients and end users

? Must be a self-starter and display the ability to handle multiple responsibilities, work under pressure and meet deadlines

 

Experience/Certification Requirements

Primary Skills:

? Cisco Call Manager design, migration and implementation skills

? IPCC Express design, migration and implementation using IP phone agents and CAD desktops

? CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, CCIE Voice/Security, CCVP and/or IP Telephony specialization is a plus

Secondary Skills:

? Programming languages such as: VB, Java, ASP, HTML, XML & V6XML

? Telecommunications:  FXO/FXS/PRI/T1/DS3 Circuits and Signaling Protocols

? General Architecture (LAN/WAN networks)

? General Architecture (server hardware platforms)

? General Architecture (OS platforms-WinNT/2k, Unix, Linux)

? Database-Experience with CISCO data model and reporting
