Cognos Reports Developer

BI Report Developer (Cognos)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Develop reports using COGNOS BI suite of tools.Create stored procedures and queries for reporting using Oracle, and/or UDB and Microsoft T-SQL.Work with business users, analysts and data warehouse architects toward the design and development of optimal BI solutions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

EducationBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

 

Required Experience3 - 5 years experience implementing enterprise-scale reporting systems using COGNOS suite of BI tools, MS Reporting, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Micro strategy, etc.Experience with Framework Manager modeling.Experience with Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio.Experience with one of the following: Metric Studio, Event Studio.Experience with dimensional modeling and reporting.Strong database understanding and SQL skills.SQL optimization understanding (preferred).Must possess a solid communications ability to ask questions, listen to customer needs and to define customer requirements.Experience with analyzing requirements from business users.Resolve development and support issues of moderate complexity or risk.
