Communications SpecialistYonkers, NYPosition Description:The Communications Specialist provides installation support for changes and projects as assigned. The Communications Specialist assists the Project Manager with implementations including site surveys, equipment installation and configurations. The incumbent is also responsible for pre installation design review, documentation, vendor supervision when required, NCC turnover and quality reviews. The Communications Specialist working along with the Project Manager operates within the framework of complete project management life cycle and adheres to industry and Emerging Health Standards. This individual interacts with groups internal and external of the organization on a daily basis in conformance to Emerging Health policy and procedures. Requirements:* BA/BS degree in Computer Science preferred or Trade School certificate in desktop computing and networking* Minimum of 2 years related work experience* This position requires a working knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), routers and switches * Familiarity with cabling specifications (Cat5) and multi mode fiber* Solid desktop computing skills including hardware configuration, operating system software (W2k) as well as the MS Office suite of applications* Familiarity with a Project Management tool would is a plus* Strong focus on customer service, excellent verbal and written communication skillsEOE - M/F/V/D.No agencies, please.Qualified Applicants send resume to: infrastructurejobs@emerginghealthit.com
