Computer Operator - Entry Level Position

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:  

1. Operate all computer systems in accordance with established schedules and quality guidelines.

2. Run all programs for production systems.

3. Provide batch processing and tape backups.

4. Maintain accounting controls for tapes produced.

5. Log and report problems to management.

6. Assist the cooperative service locations in resolving issues of the Lotteries being out of balance.

7. Clarify operating instructions for other department personnel when necessary.

8. Support the Quality Assurance and Customer Service departments by furnishing requested information.

9. All other duties as assigned.

Applicants must be available to work nights, weekends and Holidays.

 Location: Baltimore, MD               

 Requires references as well as a background screen. 

This is a temp-to-perm position. 



Requirements

1. Experience with Linux, Windows 2003, or XP

2. Knowledge of Excel and Telecommunications a plus

3. High school diploma or GED

4. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

5. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations

6. Strong time-management skills

7. Able to work overtime.

8. Interact with other department trouble shooting different situation
