The position is located in Memphis, TNComputer QA Technician - 2nd Shift SUMMARY Computer QA Technician will analyze all information given to determine if customer problem was addressed and appropriate repair actions were taken.  Verify all components of unit are functioning within required parameters. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Required to process 35 quality units per workday.  Test and evaluate software/hardware to determine if resolution to customer problem was attained.  Responsible to conduct a visual inspection of repaired units prior to performing burn-in testing; able to load and unload the racks. Verify parts usage, return and separation of defective and /or good parts returns. Computer QA Technician needs to quickly identify process failures and communicate this to management so they can be corrected quickly. Provide updates and tracking information for expedited requests. Computer QA Technician must take responsibilities for his/her own actions. Shows initiative in getting the job done right the first time with a high level of quality. Computer QA Technician will connect all required components to test a unit and work on resolving errors in diagnostic software to manager. Must be able to work assigned shift of 3 pm -12am M-F; occasional overtime, including weekends.  Maintain good attendance and punctuality.  Other duties as assigned by management, such as repair.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 1 to 3 yearsComputer QA experiencein a computer repair environment and /or training; High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Knowledge of DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Excel. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Must be able to communicate thoughts verbally as well as in writing.Must be able to cooperate with others when assigned to a task.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.  Ability to document information into customer database.  Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.Must be flexible, a good team player, with the ability to produce high quality of work.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS A+ Certification is desired but not required.
