Sunnyvale, CaliforniaWe are looking for a new senior team member for the Core Systems Administration team within the Operations Department. The daily life of our new team member will include design and architecture, implementation of new orders, escalation support, and ongoing maintenance of existing managed hosting Services and Infrastructure.

Position Objectives: Help maintain 99.999% availability for all Intermedia Services. Architecture and Design planning for future capacity and integration of new solutions. Client implementations including initial configuration and on going application support. Collaborate with internal organizations to create new and streamline existing processes and procedures. Provide 24 x 7 on call escalation support for on-call rotation. Create and maintain documentation of client infrastructure, applications, and procedures.

Essential duties: Provide third level escalation support for Client Services Support. Off hour support on rotation also required. Implementation of new client environment solutions. Documentation of current internal and client hosted infrastructures. Provide Professional Services for customers with requirements that go beyond the normal scope of work.

Required skills: Strong scripting or development skills to streamline administration Windows 2000/2003/2008 Operating Systems Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS Exchange 2003/2007 including architectural and day to day functions. Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 Microsoft Clustering, including SQL and Exchange a must Microsoft IIS.

Desired skills: Bind DNS Postfix Cold Fusion MYSQL.

Education or Equivalent Experience: Four year college degree or equivalent experience. Four years experience with administering mid to large size Microsoft Windows networks. Knowledge and understanding of Local and Wide Area Networking. Strong troubleshooting skills for web, applications and databases.

Must have flexibility for shift rotation including on call rotation. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM PST.
