TITLE: E-Learning Course Developer


POSITION SUMMARY:

FIU Online is looking for highlymotivated, talented individuals who want to join a team that has a long historyof providing the best-in-class level of service and support in the field oftechnology enabled learning. The e-Learning Course Developer will play anintegral role on the Department’s Development team; assisting in all areas ofthe development and delivery of online courses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESWorks closely with Instructional Designers and/or faculty to produce and maintain online courseware for internet deployment Perform testing and quality assurance of the courses assigned.Assist in creating performance support materials (job aids, instructor tips, etc.) for internet delivery.Collaborate closely with Development team members on projectsProvide customer service help desk support to faculty and students.


MARGINAL DUTIES:Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of LMS systems (WebCT), HTML and Dreamweaver, preferred but not required.Ability to translate course content so that itbecomes applicable in digital format. Ability to take direction well and workindependently as needed.Strong attention to detail, ability to work in afast-paced environment with minimal supervision, ability to follow-through andsee all projects to a timely completion. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma and at least one year relevantexperience.
