DSP Tools Software Systems Design Engineer

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter to join the Development Tools Group Core Tools Team working on the embedded development tools technologies for Analog Devices' Blackfin, SHARC and TigerSHARC processors.  As part of the Core Tools team, the ideal candidate will have broad responsibilities across many different parts of the VisualDSP++ tool chain including assemblers, linkers, loaders and utilities as well as with our software simulators. It is the Core Tools teams’ responsibility to understand the challenges facing embedded developers using ADI technology and to conceptualize, design and implement new tools to greatly simplify or eliminate these challenges. The ideal candidate will be someone that enjoys participating in all stages of product development including requirements gathering, design, implementation, test, maintenance and customer support and is willing to take a pro active leadership role in defining future

 

BACKGROUND/SKILLS REQUIRED:

BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering with at least 3 to 10 years of applicable experience. Demonstrated proficiency in C and C++ programming language. Working knowledge of large scale C++ software design. Working knowledge of linux and Win32 development environments is desired.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of SoC simulation environments is a strong plus. Knowledge of computer architectures, especially DSP computer architecture. Knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, Python, or Tcl) is a plus. Possess excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to recognize and analyze problems and then develop and implement solutions. Experience with embedded systems is a plus.
