DSP Video Codec Engineer

A chip company in Hillsboro is looking for a DSP Applications/Algorithm Engineer.  This individual must be a Senior Developer who can straddle the line between digital circuit architectures and software development with a mathematical algorithm background.

 

As a valued member of the Software Engineering team, this person will be responsible to developing and implementing signal processing and mathematical routines into the Field Programmable Object Arrays.  Tasks will include requirement definition, design, code and test, as well as debug and interface to other modules.

 

Candidates must have a BS or MS degree in EE, CS, Physics, or ECE; seven to eight years of experience; and knowledge of digital circuit and/or architecture.  Knowledge of signal processing or mathematical routines is a plus.  Experience in implementing algorithms onto hardware is a big plus.

 

Candidates must have the ability to quickly ramp-up on hardware, application, low level coding, and board level debug. Good oral and written communication skills are essential as are the people skills needed to work in a team environment

 

This is a small company with a business casual environment.  The salary is $110K-$125K per year.
