Location: US-IA-Central/Des Moines Requisition ID:  REQ59536845 (Post ID:71570836) Job Level:  Experienced (Non-Manager)Data Overlay Sales – Non-Named AccountsThe Territory Data Solutions Manager (TDSM) is an overlay sales expert for the Converged Data Networking (CDN) portfolio.  The TDSM is responsible for leading demand generation and customer acquisition exclusively in non-named accounts.  Assigned to a geographic territory, the TDSM is responsible for CDN revenue growth in the assigned territory.  In addition to developing and closing end user opportunities on their own, the TDSM coordinates with Inside Sales and local Field Channel Managers (FCMs) to call on End-User accounts and Channel Partners.  Considered “Nortel Data experts”, the TDSM is a trusted data advisor for internal sales teams, channel sales teams and end-user customers.Accountabilities•  Articulate Nortel’s Business Optimized Networking (BON) vision and powerfully communicate Nortel’s differentiated data value proposition•  Develop and execute a territory demand generation plan resulting in new customer footprint•  Establish/grow select IT relationships within targeted end-user accounts•  Drive custom end-user business case definition in support of Nortel Data solutions •  Develop, deliver unsolicited Data Solution RFP’s•  Act as the territory expert for Nortel Data solutions and be able to develop and train Partner Sales professionals to effectively sell Nortel Data solutions•  Be the FCM and Partner Sales rep’s point resource for data industry competitive knowledge•  Acts as CDN PLM interface for Channel Sales team•  Inventory and secure Data reference customers and/or Channels in territory•  Conduct quarterly Data Business Reviews with Regional Channel Sales ManagementSkills / Competencies· Proven track record of successfully selling technology; 5+ years of technical data Sales, or Engineering experience · In depth technical knowledge of Nortel’s CDN portfolio· Cold calling skills are desired· Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization and with customers; exemplary track record and references required· Able to deal with ambiguity and fast-paced environment; anticipates and resolves problems; proactive in planning, action & follow up· Resourceful; able to find solutions and identify resources to get tasks completed· Strong project manager, organizer and sound territory/business plannerTravel Required:  Moderate travel Position Type:  Full Time, Employee Relocation assistance:  None,  Homebase Eligible:  Yes Shift:  Day/First Shift Business Unit:  Global Sales
