Database Administrator

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:*  Compile, patch and install MySQL.*  Monitoring database and machine performance.*  Troubleshooting database performance problems.*  Develop, implement and document database monitoring, backup and  recovery policies and procedures.

*  Regularly monitor and periodically conduct random tests of    restoration from backups generated within the environment.*  Collaborate with Development Team to define, develop and update    database schemas.*  Develop, implement and document database change control procedures.Required Skills and Experience:

 * BS in Computer Science or related field* 5 +  years MySQL database experience including demonstrated experience with relational database physical design and relational database performance tuning and capacity planning, especially in MySQL based environment* Expert knowledge of physical and logical database design and performance tuning.* Experienced building and maintaining database replication, clustering and load balancing for MySQL.* Experience creating and implementing database monitoring, backup and recovery policies and procedures for MySQL.* Experience with performance analysis tools for MySQL.* In-depth knowledge of MySQL tuning parameters and performance strategies.* Experience in supporting MySQL in a development and production environment.* Strong working knowledge of Linux.* Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate with both technical and non-technical associates.* Linux System Administration experience helpful
